Young Africans land in Mbeya for new record

Young Africans have landed safely in Mbeya region ahead of their 13th NBC Premier League match versus Ihefu at Highlands Estate Stadium on Tuesday.

It is a battle between the current table toppers against the bottom placed side who are yet to cast away the winless demon engulfing them.

From 13 matches, Ihefu have managed two wins and two draws while succumbing to nine defeats and have bagged eight points in the process.

They are heading into the game with heads down after losing their previous league match versus Geita Gold 1-0 at Nyankumbu Stadium in Geita.

For Yanga, a win will drive them to 35 points at the summit of the table and stretch their unbeaten run to 50 matches.

They succeeded to outsmart Mbeya City 2-0 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the city with Fiston Mayele sealing a double brace in two consecutive matches.

He now tops the goal scorers’ ladder with 10 goals seconded by Simba striker Moses Phiri who has 8 goals to his name.
