Young Africans jets back from Tunis
Young Africans landed safely in Dar es Salaam on Friday afternoon from Tunis, Tunisia where they faced Club Africain in the CAF Confederation Cup second leg playoff.
They have been received by hundreds of the club’s members and fans who stormed Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) to welcome home the squad.
As the team’s Head Coach Nassredine Nabi emerges from the arrivals section of the facility, they chanted ‘Nabi, Nabi, Nabi while others sang ‘Professor, Professor’ in appreciation for guiding the team to the last 16 of the confederation cup.
In his brief remarks, the Club’s Information and Communication Manager Ally Kamwe says the victory stamped in Tunisia is for all Tanzanians as they represented the country.
He also highlights that playmaker Stephanie Aziz Ki who scored the priceless solitary goal has not landed with his colleagues as he is serving a three-match suspension hence will rejoin them later.
Again, Kamwe discloses that before their Sunday’s premier league match against Kagera Sugar at CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza, they will conduct a ‘Muhogo Party’ with fans of the club in order to give them energy to support their team.
