Young Africans introduce ‘GSM Day’
DAR ES SALAAM: Young Africans have honored their sponsor Ghalib Said Mohamed (GSM) by dedicating their match against Medeama SC to his name.
The two teams will meet in CAF Champions League (CAF CL) group D match at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday.
It will be called ‘GSM Day’ as he has reportedly purchased all Ordinary seat tickets for the game.
However, for those who will accommodate VIP A, B and C will have to pay 30,000/-, 20,000/- and 10,000/- respectively.
“In honoring him (GSM), we want our fans to put on Jerseys bearing GSM logo on the day,” says Yanga’s Media and Communication Manager, Ally Kamwe in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.
Mathematically, Yanga have to win on the day to revamp their chances of going beyond the group stage of the competition.
As it stands in group D, Al Ahly leads with 5 points seconded by CR Belouizdad with 4 points so as Medeama SC who also have 4 points while Yanga are rooted at the base with 2 points.
