Young Africans coach Nabi gets three-match ban

Young Africans Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi has been slapped with a three-match suspension plus fined 500,000/- for verbally attacking match officials during their past league game against Ihefu FC.

A statement released on Friday afternoon by the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) says the verdicts are in accordance to Article 42:2(2.1) of the premier league coaches regulations.

On the other hand, Simba have been fined 1m/- for some of their players entering the pitch using unofficial entrance during their past league game against Mbeya City at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.

Also, Simba full-back Gadiel Micheal has been banned for three matches and fined 500,000/- for allegedly forcing his way onto the pitch at 10:25am saying he wanted to inspect it.

“Despite being prevented by stewards, Gadiel who was accompanied by some people putting on attires with Simba logo.

“He succeeded to dodge the stewards and went straight to the center of the pitch where he dropped flour-like substances,” reads part of the statement saying the verdict is according to Article 41:5(5.5) of the players’ regulations.

In the same token, Mbeya City have been fined 500,000/- after some of their officials used bad language to the Assistant Commissioner of their game against Simba.

Furthermore, Polisi Tanzania have been fined 500,000/- for using improper entrance door during their past match against Simba, a penalty which comes in respect of Article 17 🙁 21, 60) of games regulations.

For Coastal Union, their player Maabadi Maabadi has been fined 500,000/- for attacking a referee by throwing at him a bottle of water and then a boot after their 3-2 loss to Azam and the punishment comes according to Article 41:5(5.3) of players regulations.

Again, Coastal Union have been fined 1m/- for some of their fans and players throwing bottles of water onto the pitch as their match against Azam unfolded hence the penalty is in accordance of Article 47:1 of club regulations.

On the other hand, Azam have been fined 1m/- for one of their fans at VIP section angrily throwing a bottle of water in retaliation after Coastal Union equaliser on the day but the hosting side went on to win 3-2 saying the verdict is in respect of Article 47:1 of the club regulations.

Also, Ruvu Shooting have to pay 500,000/- for delaying to arrive at Uhuru Stadium during their past game against Singida Big Stars as they arrived at 2:42 pm instead of 2:30 pm contrary to Article 17:15 of the league.
