DAR ES SALAAM: Young Africans SC has confirmed that the process to find replacements for sacked Head Coach Miguel Gamondi and Assistant Coach Maussa Ndaw is underway.
The duo’s termination was announced Friday in a statement by the club’s Chief Executive Officer. Further details on their replacements are expected in the coming days.
“Already, procedures to get new coaches for our first team is in progress and will be finalized soon.
“The management of Yanga would like to thank the two coaches for their contributions in our club and is wishing them good luck for their new endeavors,” reads part of the statement.
Speculations that Yanga are going separate ways with Gamondi and his Assistant began circulating on social media outlets after a 3-1 defeat from Tabora United in their previous Premier League match.
After the game, it is understood that Yanga management conducted a classified meeting with coach Gamondi as it was his second successive league upset in two games.
Currently, the defending champions are placed second on the league table with 24 points garnered from 10 matches, just one point adrift leaders Simba SC who have 25 points from 10 games.
