Yas, Meridian Bet partner to empower youth economically

DAR ES SALAAM: MIXX by Yas and Meridian Bet have entered into a partnership in a strategic move to empower youth economically, improving their livelihoods, and promoting self-employment opportunities.

The partnership is designed to support the government in addressing the country’s unemployment challenges.

Allan Rwebogora, Senior Officer for Payment Services at Meridian Bet, made the remarks in Dar es Salaam during the launch of their “Jimix” campaign and the Bab’ Kubwa competition.

He said the campaign provides a valuable opportunity for Tanzanian youth, as winners of the competition receive prizes that enable them to start their own businesses and alleviate poverty.

“We will empower more than 10,000 winners across the country, while emphasizing close collaboration with the Government to fight poverty, especially among young people,” he said.
