Yas launches a campaign to promote digital services in Tanzania

DAR ES SALAAM: TELECOMMUNICATION company, Yas has launched its “Register, Login and Win” campaign to encourage Tanzanians to use the Yas App and access a wide range of digital communication services more conveniently.
The campaign was officially launched today, July 4, 2026, at the ongoing 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (SabaSaba), where visitors to the YAS exhibition booth can register on the Yas App and automatically enter a weekly draw to win a ZTE A35 smartphone. The campaign will run for 90 days, with four winners selected every week.
Speaking during the launch, YAS Tanzania Youth and Special Customers Services Manager, Ikunda Ngowi, said the campaign is designed to promote the adoption of the Yas App by making digital communication services more accessible and convenient for customers.
“Through the Yas App, customers can access essential services anytime and from anywhere. With this campaign, we are giving Tanzanians even more reasons to embrace digital services while rewarding them with smartphones,” Ngowi said.
He invited all visitors attending the SabaSaba Trade Fair to visit the YAS booth, download the Yas App, register, and stand a chance to win a brand-new ZTE A35 smartphone every week throughout the campaign.
One of the customers who registered for the Yas App at the company’s booth, Julius Mtambalike, said the campaign has motivated him to make greater use of digital services.
“I had already been using some YAS services, but through the Yas App I’ve discovered that it’s much easier to purchase bundles, check my balance, and manage all my services in one place. Having the opportunity to win a smartphone is also a great incentive for customers like us to embrace technology even more,” Mtambalike said.
Through the campaign, YAS aims to increase the adoption of digital services, simplify access to telecommunications services, and encourage more Tanzanians to integrate digital technology into their daily lives.
