YOUNG Africans players have been cautioned to approach the CAF Champions League return match versus Zalan FC seriously despite enjoying a massive 4-0 lead they stamped in the first round.
The two sides meet at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam today for a second leg of the Preliminary round to decide who deserves a ticket to play in the first round.
However, in a pre-match briefing yesterday, the club’s Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi urged his players not to relax just because of the 4 goals advantage they have.
“This is the Champions League match which demands special preparations and winning the first round match does not mean the game is over, we need to fight hard.
“It is a match which helps to define capabilities of players and despite playing competitive games after every three days, that should not be an excuse for players to relax,” Nabi said.
He also expressed his satisfaction following the clearance of Tuisila Kisinda deal so that he can serve the club saying his return has added value to the team.
Commenting on players likely to miss the game, Nabi revealed that Bernard Morrison and Khalid Aucho are not 100 per cent fit but others will easily fill in for them.
For Yanga, the match is their sixth of the season in all competitions and are searching to maintain their unbeaten run of the campaign.
His counterpart of Zalan Baping Alliab reiterated that they have sorted out mistakes they committed in the first round game even though some of his key players will miss the match.
“The boys are well prepared for the encounter and let me assure you that tomorrow’s (today) results will not be similar to the results recorded in the first match. This is what I can say,” he said.
Moreover, Alliab singled out Fiston Mayele and Feisal Salum as dangerous players for Yanga who need not to be given an opportunity to have much possession of the ball.
The entry fees for the match have been simplified with ordinary seats going at 2000/- while VIP B and C will be accessed for 10,000/- and VIP A at 15,000/-.
