Yanga vs Club Africain: Get a jab, grab free ticket
Young Africans are set to give away 10,000 free tickets to their fans who will turn up for Covid-19 vaccination prior to the CAF Confederation Cup game versus Club Africain on Wednesday next week.
Breaking the news on Thursday afternoon in Dar es Salaam, the club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Andre Mtine says the move comes following their partnership with UNICEF.
“Our cooperation with UNICEF concerning Covid-19 and Ebola awareness has officially began and we are giving 10,000 tickets to supporters who will embrace Covid-19 vaccination,” he says.
On his part, Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager Ally Kamwe reiterates that as a football club, they cannot afford to provide entertainment to people while not taking into consideration about their well being.
“We want our communities to be free from diseases. As such, we have arranged many things which will help to promote this campaign.
“Also, players like Fiston Mayele, Stephanie Aziz Ki, Feisal Salum and others will be used to facilitate this initiative,” he says.
Yanga face the Tunisian side for the first leg of the Confederation Cup second preliminary round match ahead of the reverse leg to be played in Tunisia on November 9th.
