DAR ES SALAAM: YANGA head coach Hamdi Miloud has reaffirmed his team’s determination to secure three points against JKT Tanzania, insisting that victory is paramount as they aim to extend their dominance in the Mainland Premier League title race.
The Algerian-French tactician made these remarks yesterday in Dar es Salaam.
“We are aware that tomorrow’s (today) match will be tough, but we are fully committed to ensuring we secure all three points. I know JKT Tanzania is a strong team, so we are prepared to get the victory,” said Miloud Hamdi.
He continued that winning is a fundamental principle for any major club and as the leader his responsibility is to ensure they win.
“When you are in charge of a big club, you must win,” Hamdi Miloud remarked.
He acknowledged their impressive 6-1 victory in their previous match but insisted that the primary focus remains on winning matches rather than the number of goals scored.
“In our last game, we scored six goals because we have a strong squad. However, our main responsibility is to perform well in every match. I have great confidence in my players that we will win,” Miloud Hamdi added.
On the other hand, JKT Tanzania’s head coach, Ahmad Ally, acknowledged that facing Yanga is a huge task and his responsibility is to earn results and that is their mission.
“We know we are facing a big club in Africa and they are always aggressive. We are playing against a team that everyone in Africa now recognises as one of the best,” said Ally.
The JKT Tanzania coach further stated that his team has studied Yanga’s gameplay and will be looking to exploit any errors they make.
“They are a strong team, but they also have weaknesses. Our job is to be even better in taking advantage of their mistakes,” Coach Ally remarked.
Despite Yanga’s recent emphatic 6-1 victory over KenGold, Ally insists that his side is unfazed, as every match requires a different approach.
“We acknowledge that we are playing against a team with excellent players. However, we must remain focused in all moments, both in and out of possession. I don’t dwell on what happened in Yanga’s last match against a different opponent. I analyse the strengths and weaknesses of our opponents and prepare accordingly,” he added.
