Yanga reveal partial free entry as preparations intensify

DAR ES SALAAM: YOUNG Africans has announced ahead of their match against Mamelodi Sundowns, that fans will be allowed to enter free of charge to the Green Stand area of the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

They further announced that VIP A tickets will go for 30,000/-, VIP B for 20,000/-, and VIP C at 10,000/-. The Jangwani based outfit will be in a tricky encounter when they face the South African champions Mamelodi in the quarter-finals game of the African Champions League on March 30th in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking to journalists yesterday at the team’s headquarters, the club’s Media and Communication Manager, Ally Kamwe explained that their match against Mamelodi is crucial because they need a victory to position themselves well for the next stage.

“Our match against Mamelodi Sundowns is very crucial, but we have confidence in our players because they have been excellent throughout,” Kamwe said.

However, Kamwe urged Yanga fans across the country to ensure a massive turnout for their game against Mamelodi.

“A positive result in our first game will give us strength in the return leg in South Africa,” he added.

Kamwe also disclosed that their opponents are expected to arrive in the country on March 28th at midnight. Regarding their injured players, Kamwe stated that their conditions are progressing well.

“We will provide an update on our midfielder Pacome Zouzou in the coming days as he is currently on international duty. Khalid Aucho has started fitness training.

“Zawadi Mauya is also progressing well and will soon join the team. Kibwana Shomary is doing well and is expected to start training on Monday,” he said.

Kamwe said that on Kouassi Attohoula, according to medical reports, it’s uncertain whether he will be available for the match as doctors have stated a 50 per cent chance of his participation,” he concluded
