Yanga, Pamba Jiji face-off today

MWANZA: YOUNG Africans will face Pamba Jiji in a Mainland Premier League match at CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza today.

Ahead of the match, both coaches, during the press briefing, underscored their eagerness to secure a victory.

Yanga Head Coach, Hamdi Miloud, expressed confidence in his team’s morale ahead of the away fixture against Pamba Jiji, asserting that they are fully prepared to claim all three points.

“We respect Pamba but we are here to win,” Miloud stated.

He acknowledged Pamba Jiji’s capabilities, noting that they are not a team to be underestimated, “Pamba Jiji drew with Singida Black Stars.

They did it and they can attack and score,” he said. Miloud also commended the club’s supporters, saying their persistent support delights him.

“Our supporters play an important role; their presence in big numbers at the stadium to support the club motivates both the players and me.

“They provide us much delight and encouragement. When they come in large numbers to cheer us on, it motivates us to fight harder, train diligently, and give our all on the field,” Miloud said.

On the other hand, Pamba Jiji’s Head Coach, Felix Minziro, acknowledged Yanga’s quality, but emphasized that his team is ready for the game and determined to secure a win.

“I’m facing a strong team with quality players. Young Africans are a great team, but we also made some good signings during the midseason transfer window. We believe it will be an exciting match,” Minziro said.

However, he remained tight-lipped about his team’s strategy, insisting that their approach to securing a result would remain a closely guarded secret.

“I cannot say at what minute we will get a result. That is part of our club’s tactical approach, and it cannot be disclosed,” he stated.

Minziro also stressed the importance of preparing alternative strategies to counter Yanga’s strength.

“When facing a strong team, you must have different game plans,” he added.
