LINDI: YOUNG Africans and Namungo will face off today at Majaliwa Stadium in a highly anticipated match, with both teams eager to bounce back from recent disappointing performances.
As the two sides prepare to take the field, all eyes will be on how they can turn their fortunes around and secure a much-needed victory.
With their recent form raising concerns, the outcome of today’s game could prove crucial in reigniting their respective campaigns. During yesterday’s press conference, Young Africans’ Coach Sead Ramovic and Namungo’s Coach Juma Mgunda shared their thoughts ahead of today’s encounter, with both coaches underscoring that it is a must-win match.
During the press briefing, Coach Sead Ramovic stated that they are ready for a tough match but expressed confidence that his players will perform well and secure a win. He also noted the importance of cautioning against Namungo’s experienced players, noting that both teams share the same goal of victory.

“We have a tough and very important game tomorrow. So far, everything in our preparations is going well. We know Namungo has experienced players, but we are not here for anything other than three points.”
“Honestly, it’s a matter of great pride. I sincerely thank all Yanga fans coming from Dar es Salaam tonight and those travelling to support us tomorrow. My players and I must repay their joy. They have shown us true love and passion and we are preparing to bring back that happiness.” Coach Mgunda, on his part, noted that his team is fully prepared for the upcoming encounter.
He acknowledged the need for caution when facing Yanga, given their status as defending champions and the quality of their squad.
However, he assured that his players are well aware of what is required in the match and that their sole focus is on securing a victory. “To accomplish anything, you need to have confidence, but you must not be overconfident. We are ready, and all the players understand their responsibilities.”
