DAR ES SALAAM: STEPHANE Aziz Ki’s hat-trick helped the defending champions, Young Africans to reclaim the Premier League’s pilot seat after a 6-1 victory over KMC at Kinondoni Municipal Stadium in the city this evening.
Following the victory, Young Africans now lead the race with 49 points at the summit from their 19-game outing.
Simba, who were at the helm prior to today’s encounter, are now placed second with 47 points with a game in hand.
Simba could reclaim the helm tomorrow in their game with Dodoma Jiji, but, since the match has been called off they have to wait till February 19 when they meet Namungo at Majaliwa Stadium in Ruangwa.

It was an epic goals galore encounter at KMC Stadium when Young Africans this afternoon as the defending champions scored two goals in the first half before completing their mission with 4 more goals in the second half.
Before Aziz Ki netting his hat trick, Prince Dube opened the team’s scoreboard as he headed home an opener in the 10th minute.
Aziz Ki added the second goal in the 18th minute through a spot kick after Clement Mzize was fouled inside the danger zone.
Aziz Ki scored his second penalty goal in the 49th minute and sealed a hat-trick seven minutes in the 56th minute, as he netted his team’s fourth goal.
Max Nzengeli and Israel Mwenda scored 5th and 6th goals respectively in the added time.
KMC had their consolation goal in the 52nd minute.
