Emphasizing on the importance of educating girls, President Samia noted that her journey to success was possible, thanks to the devotion of her late parents who saw the importance of investing in her education and supporting her throughout her career.

“I am forever grateful for my late parents who saw the importance of investing in a girl child. Taking me to school and supporting my quest in furthering my education, to my family who supported me throughout my career, who tolerated my absence in their lives and allowed me to pursue other studies in a political career,” she noted.

Meanwhile, she also acknowledged the importance and contribution of the leaders and members of her party Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Tanzanian citizens as well as her predecessors.
