WC QUALIFIERS: Tanzania 0-2 Morocco

DAR ES SALAAM: Tanzania national team ‘Taifa Stars’ have suffered a 2-0 defeat from Morocco in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Africa qualifiers.

The game at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday night has seen Morocco bagging their first maximum points of the competition.

A long range volley by Hakim Ziyech on the 27th minute gave the visitors a leading goal after enjoying a good pressing.

The teasing powerful ball bounced in front of Taifa Stars goalie Kwesi Kawawa making it difficult for him to clear it.

In the second half, the Atlas Lions continued to enjoy the big portion of the game as they looked strong in all sections.

An own goal by Lusajo Mwaikenda on the 54th minute sealed the deal for the African giants.

Ten minutes later, Taifa Stars were reduced to 10-man as Novatus Dismas picked a second yellow card after committing a foul.
