Waziri Junior completes Dodoma Jiji’s attacking trio

DAR ES SALAAM: WAZIRI Junior has inked a two-year contract with his former club, Dodoma Jiji, departing Kinondoni Municipal Council after a prolific spell that saw him net 12 goals.

At Dodoma Jiji, Waziri Jr joins Reliant Lusajo from Mashujaa, who impressed with six goals in the 2022/23 season and ten goals in 2021/22, forming a potent attacking duo.

Ibrahim Ajibu, recently transferred from Coastal Union, completes the trio, reinforcing the team’s offensive capabilities.

In other transfer news, JKT Tanzania have overhauled their coaching staff to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming season.

Hamedy Ally has been appointed the new head coach, with Raymond Dotto joining as assistant coach, Fatuma Omary taking on goalkeeping duties, and Faraj Shaban Muya bringing his expertise as the team’s video analyst. Also, Mashujaa of Kigoma have been active in strengthening their squad.

They have secured the signings of Chripsin Ngushi from Young Africans, Seif Karihe from Mtibwa Sugar and Abdulmalik Zacharia from Namungo, adding significant firepower to their lineup.

Azam are the other side to have extended the contract with Tespsie Evans, who returned from a season-long loan at Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC).

Evans’ commitment until 2026 highlights the club’s belief in his potential to make a significant impact in future seasons.

With the transfer window closing on August 15, 2024, anticipation among fans is palpable as they eagerly await further announcements and potential surprises from their favourite teams.
