DODOMA: THE National Service (JKT) has learned that some job applicants are using forged JKT certificates to secure employment, warning that strict legal action will be taken against the perpetrators.
Addressing reporters in Dodoma on Thursday, JKT’s acting Head of Administration of JKT, Colonel Juma Mrai, said that some job seekers have been using fake JKT certificates for employment announced by various public institutions, non-governmental organizations, and private companies with JKT training being a key requirement.
“Recently, we have uncovered cases where unscrupulous individuals have used forged certificates to secure jobs in organizations that require JKT-trained personnel. Legal measures will be taken against all those found guilty,” he said.
Colonel Mrai emphasized that JKT is ready to cooperate with institutions and companies in verifying the authenticity of JKT certificates presented by their employees or job applicants.

Additionally, he cautioned the public against fraudsters who claim to offer JKT recruitment slots in exchange for money.
He clarified that all recruitment announcements are made through official media outlets and social media platforms, urging citizens to report any suspicious messages or phone calls soliciting money for recruitment.
“If you receive such messages, we urge you to report them immediately to the nearest JKT camp or police station so that legal action can be taken against the culprits,” Colonel Mrai stressed.
He said JKT training follows Tanzanian traditions and values, adhering to the official syllabus and guidelines set by the National Service Headquarters to instill discipline, patriotism, and national unity among young people.
JKT offers training through two categories including the compulsory programme, which lasts for three months, and the voluntary programme, which runs for two years.
Upon successful completion, graduates receive official JKT certificates issued by the National Service Headquarters.
