Vodacom extends Kapu la Vodacom initiative with “Back to School” campaign to support education nationwide
DAR ES SALAAM: Vodacom Tanzania has extended its popular Kapu la Vodacom initiative beyond the festive season with a Back to School edition, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to supporting communities through education.
The initiative aims to ease the transition for parents as their children return to school after the end of year holidays by delivering hundreds of Kapu la Shule packages to families and students who need it the most across multiple regions in Tanzania.
The Kapu la Vodacom initiative, which began as a festive season support program, now evolves into a broader movement of collective care and shared progress, ensuring that education remains a priority for every child.
Through this initiative, Vodacom stands alongside parents and learners, helping them prepare for the new academic year and ease the financial burden that is common in the month of January.
Speaking on this initiative, the company’s Director of M-Pesa Epimack Mbeteni said, “education is the foundation of progress, by extending Kapu la Vodacom beyond the festive season, we are investing in the future of our children and our nation.”

The Kapu la Vodacom campaign was launched in late November last year, designed to spread joy and appreciation by celebrating with customers across Tanzania.
