Ulega calls on ERB to register all qualified engineers

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA’S Works Minister, Abdallah Ulega, has directed the Engineers Registration Board(ERB) to increase efforts in registering engineering technicians who meet professional qualifications.
This was stated during the launch of the 7th Annual Engineering Technician Day held in Dar es Salaam.
The Day aligns with the theme: “Engineering Technicians Scheme of Service in the Public and Private Practice.”
“By recognizing the technician, engineers will enable them to be part of various development projects in the country,” he said

He also promised to address the challenges faced by technicians in their workplaces.
On her part, Rahma Simba, a technician engineer from Arusha, thanked the Ministry of Works for uplifting the status of technicians.
She emphasised that technicians play a major role due to the significant work they do and encouraged female technicians to use various platforms to share knowledge and experiences about their work
