Uhuru Torch initiates construction of 600m/-road in Mara

MUSOMA: NATIONAL Torch Relay Leader Brother Ismail Ali Ussi said the Government has been spending a lot of money on road infrastructure construction to make it easier for citizens to access services in their areas so that they can carry out their economic activities and earn an income.

Ussi said this while laying the foundation stone for the construction of the Nyabisarye-High Court road in Musoma Zone, with a length of 700 meters at the asphalt level.

He commended the TARURA staff in Musoma district for working professionally and ensuring that they build road infrastructure projects according to real value for money.

For his part, the Acting Musoma District Manager, Engineer Mohamed Etanga, said a total of 600.97m/- has been allocated for the construction of the Nyabisarye-High Court road with a length of 700 meters at the asphalt level.

He noted that the construction of the road began in October last year and is expected to be completed by September 2025.

“The road, if completed, will connect Bweri Ward and Rwamlimi Ward and become a major link for citizens in accessing social needs quickly.”
