With high hopes to succeed, Tanzanian envoy Eva Paul Raphael left this week for Nigeria to contest for Miss Tourism Africa title this Sunday.
Before she departed to Lagos, the National Arts Council (BASATA) handed her the national flag ahead of the event that has attracted 25 ladies from across Africa.
The Acting Director for Performing Arts in the National Arts Council (BASATA), Gaima Bakari, on behalf of the Executive Secretary Kedmon Mapana, hosted Eva Raphael at the reception.
He hailed Eva Raphael for sealing the slot to represent her nation in the Miss Tourism Africa 2022 competition.
In addition, Gaima encouraged the nation’s envoy to heed the principles of discipline for the nation’s pride.
BASATA oversees all issues of arts and artists in the country; one of its responsibilities is to promote and develop the arts sector in the country.
It has assured Miss Tourism Africa 2022 that the Council will continue to support her financially, including contacting Tanzanian High in Nigeria to facilitate her favourable environment.
She thanked the government through the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports for the support..
She also issued her vote of thanks to the National Arts Council for making her journey a success.
She revealed her greatest ambition is to promote Tanzanian Tourism abroad through the beauty pageant by committing herself to represent the nation proudly.
The success will directly support President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s Royal Tour.
