Two children killed in house inferno

TWO children aged between two to four years of age died instantly in Muleba District, Kagera Region after the house they were sleeping in was gutted by fire.

Chairman for Kalambi village, John Bakilana said the incident happened on Monday at Kalambi village naming the deceased as Justinian Mateso (2.5 years) and Achelaus Mateso (4).

Two children from the same family aged between 10-12 years, who were in Standard Two and Standard Four, recently died while excavating sand in Muleba District’s Magata village.

Reports said the two children were trying to make ends meet by selling sand, thus earning a meager living after their father abandoned the family forcing them to lead a miserable life.
