TUGHE insists on the use of AI technology for the workplace’s health, safety
ARUSHA: A call to embrace artificial intelligence and digital technologies in enhancing workplace health and safety heralded the opening day of the seminar that brought together employers and employees in Arusha.
The modern technology also insists on the importance of maintaining good relations between employers and employees.
The seminar, organized by the Tanzania Union of Government and Health Employees(TUGHE), also emphasized the solidarity and mutual understanding between employers and employees as the key foundations for building productive and conducive work environments.
It was revealed in Arusha by TUGHE Secretary General, Hery Mkunda, that brought together employers and branch leaders of the union.
The hottest topics during the seminar majored on the role of Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies in enhancing workplace health and safety, as well as the importance of maintaining good relations between employers and employees.

The seminar was officially opened by the Deputy Permanent Secretary from the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Labour, Youth, Employment, and Persons with Disabilities, Zuhura Yunus.
Mkunda explained that the seminar, which was initiated in 2018, also aims to remind participants of their rights and responsibilities in the workplace and to provide education on how to address new challenges brought about by technological and social changes.
The seminar is being attended by 792 participants from various ministries, institutions, parliament, the judiciary, local government authorities, and the health sector.
The number of participants is expected to reach 1,000 as registration continues.
