TTCL launches Kijitonyama centre

DAR ES SALAAM: TTCL Corporation has unveiled the Kijitonyama FTTX Experience Center, a modern facility that reflects the corporation’s ongoing innovation and transformation in delivering internet services across the country.

The center serves as a model hub demonstrating TTCL’s commitment to improving customer experience, promoting the use of advanced communication technologies, and showcasing the potential of Faiba (FTTX) services in accelerating digital transformation and economic development in Tanzania.

TTCL Director General Moremi Marwa told reporters yesterday that the facility offers customers a practical, immersive experience of digital solutions.

“At this center, customers will witness Smart Home applications, including how Faiba internet is installed and distributed seamlessly across multiple rooms and office environments,” he said.

Marwa further noted that through the “Faiba Mlangoni Kwako” initiative, TTCL is expanding services to more regions, including Unguja and the regions of Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Dodoma, Mwanza, Geita, Iringa and Mbeya, with plans to reach remaining regions in the coming fiscal year. Chairman David Nchimbi commended the management for its innovation.

“The improvements in converged services and increased internet speeds are vital in advancing Tanzania’s digital economy,” he said.

He described the center as a unique platform for learning and experience-sharing, where citizens can explore how TTCL’s internet solutions can transform homes, offices and businesses into efficient digital environments. Nchimbi also highlighted TTCL’s financial progress, noting a pre-tax profit of Sh22.9 bn/- in the 2024/25 financial year, emphasizing the need to sustain growth through innovation and effective resource management.
