TSN forum to unlock Geita opportunities

GEITA: THE Tanzania Standard (Newspapers) Limited (TSN), in collaboration with the Geita Regional Commissioner’s Office, will today hold an Economic Opportunities Forum aimed at connecting Tanzanians with investment and development opportunities in the region.
The forum will be held at Mkapa Hall, Dr Samia Suluhu Grounds in Geita Municipality, alongside the Ninth Mining Technology Exhibition.
Geita Regional Administrative Secretary Mohamed Gombati announced the forum on Wednesday, saying it was open to all Tanzanians seeking to explore available economic opportunities.
He said the forum would showcase opportunities in the region’s five districts and six councils, particularly in mining, land, manufacturing and business.
“The objective of this forum is to identify, showcase, unlock and stimulate business, industrial investment and development opportunities in Geita Region,” Mr Gombati said.

He said the forum would also bring together investment stakeholders, including local and foreign investors participating in the mining exhibition.
Mr Gombati said the forum would provide an opportunity to inform Tanzanians about development initiatives being implemented by the Sixth-Phase Government.
He said visitors to the Ninth Mining Technology Exhibition would also have access to health services, a land clinic and legal assistance through the TSN Opportunities Forum.
The health services will be provided by specialist doctors from Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH), Chato Regional Referral Hospital (CRRH), Benjamin Mkapa Hospital and Geita Regional Hospital.
Mr Gombati said the initiative was part of efforts to ensure members of the public benefited from both investment opportunities and essential services available during the exhibition.
The forum is expected to bring together government institutions, investors, entrepreneurs and other development stakeholders to exchange information and explore opportunities available in Geita Region.
