He further urged participants to act as ambassadors in immigration management and to safeguard national security, emphasizing that under Article 28 of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania, national defense is the responsibility of every citizen. He also advised them to communicate with immigration offices whenever they encounter challenges in accessing or delivering immigration services.
On his part, the Head of TRITA stated that the training program, which was initiated in 2019, has been bringing together stakeholders from both public and private sectors with the aim of enhancing their understanding of laws, regulations, and procedures for managing foreign nationals in the country.
He added that immigration service delivery is a cross-cutting issue involving multiple institutions and individuals; therefore, a shared understanding of laws and procedures is essential to prevent errors that could create challenges for foreign nationals and affect the quality of services in the country.
