Tourism Ministry lauded for the timely completion of the headquarters

DODOMA: THE Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism has been commended for being the first ministry to complete the construction of its office building in the Government City of Mtumba, Dodoma, setting a notable example in the implementation of the vision of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The commendation was given by the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament, and Coordination), William Lukuvi, during his visit to inspect the progress of government buildings in Dodoma.
The visit is part of efforts to implement President Samia’s directive to relocate all government operations to the nation’s capital.

Lukuvi stated that the Ministry’s timely completion of the building and its successful relocation to Mtumba demonstrate a strong commitment to fulfilling government directives. He also praised the Ministry’s use of locally manufactured office furniture, particularly those made from forest products, highlighting the Ministry as a good ambassador for locally produced goods.
“You are great ambassadors for the use of our locally made products derived from our forests. I believe other ministries will follow this example,” Lukuvi added.
In addition to his commendation, Minister Lukuvi urged the Ministry’s staff to ensure proper care and maintenance of the building and its equipment so that they serve their purpose efficiently and for a long time.

On his part, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Hassan Abbasi, thanked Minister Lukuvi for his visit and the recognition given. He pledged that the Ministry will continue to manage the building and its resources effectively, in line with the guidance provided.
This milestone forms part of the government’s broader plan to enhance good governance and improve public service delivery through quality infrastructure and the use of local resources.
