A total of six regions are set to experience short periods of heavy rains, the Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) warns.
Weather forecast for the next 24 hours report issued by the authority on Monday, April 24, 2023, mentions targeted areas as Arusha, Mwanza, Simiyu, Mwanza, Kagera and Geita regions.
The advisory went on to alert residents from five regions in the mainland and other parts of the Isles to get ready for strong wind reaching 40km per hour.
TMA mentions areas to be affected as coast areas of Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Lindi, Mtwara and Coast region as well as some Pemba and Unguja.
During the period, the report says, the state of sea expected to be rough.
Cloudy conditions, thundershowers over some areas and sunny intervals will be experienced in Arusha, Kilimanjaro and Manyara regions, TMA adds.
