TISEZA registers 177 projects worth 31tri/-in three months, creates 19,750 jobs

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) Director General Gilead Teri has said that between January and March 2026, 177 projects worth 31tri/- have been registered, and the projects are expected to create 19,750 jobs.
Speaking at the launch of the first TISEZA Staff Council, Teri also expressed gratitude for the cooperation he receives from the President’s Office – Investment, saying that it contributes significantly to strengthening and promoting sustainable investment in the country.
Launching the council, the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office – Investment, Dr Fred Msemwa called on TISEZA staff to abandon the habit of working in a routine manner, emphasizing the importance of their contribution in increasing the GDP.

He said that the National Development Vision 2050 has directed 70 percent of the GDP to come from the Private Sector, with investment being an important pillar to achieve that goal.
“In that, TISEZA has a very important role to play in ensuring that Tanzania becomes a haven for domestic and foreign investment. You as the Staff Council, have a great contribution to make TISEZA a success,” he said.
In addition, he called on TISEZA staff to be generous and professional to investors, so that Tanzania is seen as the right and safe place for investment.
