TANZANIA Standard Newspapers (TSN) Ltd journalists scooped awards after their immense contributions recognised by three ministries.
Minister of Information, communication and Information Technology, Mr Nape Nnauye awarded the trio at Information Sector Development Forum 2022 held in Dar es Salaam Saturday and insisted that “right to information” must be protected by the law.
At the well-attended event, the TSN’s Daily News and HabariLEO senior journalists Nelly Mtema and Anastazia Anyimike were awarded by the Ministry of Minerals and President’s Office-Regional Administration and Local Government Authority (OR-RALGA) respectively.
TSN Digital journalist, Zaituni Mkwama’s immense contributions was also recognised by the Ministry of Works.
The event was heralded by the theme: Information for Sustainable Development.
Mr Nape reinstated at the event that laws and regulations are under reviews purposely to give enough room for the freedom of information.
