TFG, Kaspersky to boost cybersecurity in Dar

DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania – Tech First Gulf (TFG), a value-added distributor in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), partnered with global cybersecurity leader Kaspersky to host an exclusive partner event in Dar es Salaam targeting to strengthen cybersecurity in Tanzania.

The gathering, attended by over 60 industry leaders, partners, and experts, served as a platform to strengthen collaborations and showcase the latest cybersecurity advancements tailored for the Tanzanian market.

As Tanzania undergoes rapid digital transformation, the need for robust cybersecurity measures has never been more pressing. The government committed to ensure safe cybersphere. 

Akashdeep Singh, Chief Strategy Officer of Tech First Gulf, underscored the critical role of local partnerships in driving cybersecurity innovation. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Kaspersky to bring this significant event to Tanzania.

As cyber threats become more sophisticated, our partners must be equipped with the best tools and knowledge to protect their clients. This event reaffirms our commitment to advancing cybersecurity capabilities in the region,” he stated.

Highlighting the urgency of these initiatives, Samer Malak, Head of Channel for Kaspersky in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, said: “In the first half of 2024, Kaspersky products detected and blocked Internet-borne cyber threats on devices of 28.5 percent of our users in Tanzania.
