TFF lifts transfer ban on Singida Big Stars
The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has reversed a one window transfer ban imposed on Singida Big Stars (SBS).
Instead, the club has been fined 1m/- to be paid before the opening of the mini-transfer window, December 15th.
A statement issued on Wednesday afternoon indicates that the decision to lift the ban was made after assessing the club’s request to rescind the earlier decision.
However, it further stipulated that in case Singida Big Stars fail to pay the fine before the commencement of the mini-transfer window, then the initial verdict will remain imposed.
Alongside the Singida based club, Tanzania Prisons are also still banned from engaging in transfer activities for one window after breaching recruitment regulations.
The ban was initiated after the Mbeya region side allegedly signed goalkeeper Musa Mbise from Coastal Union while fully aware that he had a valid contract with the latter.
Likewise, Singida Big Stars met their fate after signing Polisi Tanzania goalie Metacha Mnata who also had an active contact with the Moshi based outfits.
