DAR ES SALAAM: THE inaugural GMAk Seniors Social Tennis tournament brought an exciting weekend of competition to the Dar Gymkhana tennis courts, where seven double teams of Gymkhana Club members went head-to-head.
The event featured a round-robin format, with each team battling it out in seven-game matches against all other teams.
Team Kunal & Chen emerged as the champions, clinching the winners’ trophy with an impressive 37 points.
Close behind were Team GMAk & Imtiaz, who took the runner-up position in a well-fought contest.

Team Heri & Naam were also recognised for their outstanding sportsmanship, taking home the Abbas Fair Play Award for their respectful and positive attitude on the court.
With the tournament’s great success, club members are calling on organiser Imtiaz to make this a regular monthly event, seeing it as a fantastic way to revive the tennis spirit and enthusiasm at Dar Gymkhana Club.
