“Amidst the festivities, we want to remind all farmers that they can play a significant role in ensuring online safety. If you receive fraudulent SMS messages, don’t delete them. Instead, report the numbers of the fraudsters to 15040. The Police Force will take action, and justice will be served,” urged Engineer Asajile John.

The Zonal manager advised farmers to register their farming businesses with the national domain name ‘DOT TZ’ since promotes a safe online environment for consumers.

On his part, Mr Kibaja advised that if someone received ving forwarded messages with suspicious links it is essential to delete them immediately protect themselves from potential phishing attacks and malicious activities.

The acting head of Communications and Public Relations said the regulator has established Tanzanite Portal to enhance simplified licensing procedures and reduce bureaucratic obstacles for prospective investors in the communication sector.

“You don’t need to make a trip to TCRA offices anymore. Applying or updating your licenses can now be done conveniently through Tanzanite Portal, just visit our website and lodge your license application,” he assured Mr Rolf Kibaja.

TCRA collaborated closely with Mobile Network Operators to ensure efficient complaint resolution.

At the pavilion, all complaints received were registered and operators actively worked to find resolutions in cooperation with Authority officers.

Present at TCRA’s Mbeya pavilion were Vodacom, Tigo, Halotel, and Airtel.
