TCCS runs 3 day exhibition in Pwani
DAR ES SALAAM: The Tanzania Commercial Cattle Society (TCCS) expects to have a livestock exhibition and auctions that will be held at Ubena Estate Grounds in the Coast Region for a period of three days.
Speaking to Journalists in Dar es Salaam, Chairman of TCCS, Mr Naweed Mulla said that the three-day auction from June 14 to 16 this year will be with the aim of helping farmers economically as well as increasing the country’s income through them.
Explaining the details of the exhibition and auction, Mr Mulla noted that more than 300 livestock stakeholders are expected to participate.
“This exhibition will enable livestock keepers, processors, and various stakeholders in the country to influence development policies and promote sustainable livestock production by building capacity and networks,” he stated.

Moreover, he explained their intentions will be to increase the value chain and develop the sector with the best sustainable economic and environmental methods.
On his part, an adviser of agribusiness at the Tanzania Development Bank (TADB) Mkani Waziri said that they will continue to cooperate with the agriculture, livestock and fishing sectors in the country as well as with TCCS to bring reforms in the livestock industry.
Additionally, he stated that until now, they have succeeded in giving loans of about 38bn/- to livestock keepers to 8,688 of them in 21 regions.
