TBC to broadcast live AFCON matches
TANZANIA: The Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) will broadcast live 52 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) matches.
The corporation’s Director General Dr. Ayub Rioba has confirmed in Dar es Salaam Tuesday.
“We have acquired rights to broadcast the 2023 AFCON matches through Television and Radio.
“52 games will be broadcast on Television (TBC 1 and TBC 2) while 64 encounters will be aired on radio (TBC Taifa and TBC FM),” he says.
He also clarifies that the corporation’s broadcasters and analysts will be covering the contest directly from Ivory Coast.
“We will ensure that we give our people the best of the competition through HD access just like the way we did to the 2022 World Cup finals held in Qatar,” he says.
The country’s envoys Taifa Stars are already in Ivory Coast ready for the finals and their first fixture will be played on January 17th against Morocco.
