TAVA reschedules registration window

TANZANIA Amateur Volleyball Association (TAVA) has extended the opening date of the mini registration window which was previously to start April 1st to 14th this year.

According to TAVA Secretary General, Laurence Safari the association’s central committee will open the window from April 15th to 25th this year.

“The association wants to inform all TAVA affiliated club leaders that the mini registration window has been moved forward, because we aim to strengthen the registration system,” he said.

He added that the registration regulations for the year 2023 Article 1 (1.3) was early stated that this window should have been opened from 1-14 April 2023 but due to this change, it will now be opened from 15-25 April 2023.

He added that according to the Registration Rules for the Year 2023 Article 1 (1.4) The second phase of the competition, the season should also have opened on April 19, but now this second phase will open on April 30th .

“Along with the changes, this second phase competition will end on May 30th which will also be a wind up of all regionals-level leagues for the 2023 season,” he stressed.

Safari noted that: “We ask the club to consider Article 2 (2.2.1.1) of the Registration Rules, which says ‘Each team will be able to register and reduce no more than two (2) players, In addition, with this temporary registration, the number of players will remain the same at least (14) and no more than 20.”

Accordingly, Safari stressed that the Central Committee has approved that clubs registered with less than 20 players are allowed to add more players to reach that number.

With this permission, the players who will be allowed are those who are not registered with any club in the country or abroad.

However, he said the number of players to be transferred will remain the same at two.

He said the registration committee will send the transfer system for all clubs by April 13 and added that if there are any challenges in the system, the club should contact the committee for the smooth implementation of the small window.
