Tanzania’s Young Africans among top five best clubs in Africa
EGYPT, CAIRO: Young Africans have been included in the top five of the 2023 CAF Awards Club of the Year (men).
Other clubs are Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), USM Alger (Algeria), Al Ahly (Egypt) and Wydad Casablanca (Morocco).
Initially, the category had ten clubs which have now been reduced to five.
Both Yanga and USM Alger reached in the finals of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC) of which the Algerian side clinched on away goal rule after a 2-2 aggregate.
Also, Al Ahly faced Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League finals which the former clinched thanks to a 2-1 success.
For Mamelodi Sundowns, they are the new champions of the 2023 Africa Football League (AFL).
