Tanzanians see wonders in Nawwi Wellness

DAR ES SALAAM: ACADEMICIANS, business leaders, students, and artists were among the beneficiaries of Nawwi Wellness, an event that helps people to unwind, slow down, reconnect and create meaningful moments through doing new things.

Held recently in Dar es Salaam, participants walked away with practical solutions on how they can transform their precious lives using simple means like intentional scents.

In her media briefing today, April 20 in the city, Nawwi Wellness founder Ms Faraja Brown revealed that all 34 people who turned up gained first-hand knowledge on personal transformation.

“Nawwi Wellness is a scent-based wellness brand founded by me, focusing on helping people slow down, reconnect, and create meaningful moments through intentional rituals.

“We create hand poured candles and guided candle making experiences where scent, creativity, and mindfulness come together.

“It is all about transforming everyday moments into something more intentional, calming, and personal…we believe there is a candle for every moment,” she said.

She continued: “This event went deeper using the candle-making process as a metaphor for personal transformation and integration.

“Participants experienced a transformation metaphor just as wax changes from a solid to liquid state… attendees were invited to embrace their personal transformation by integrating their past selves with their present selves to create a unified, intentional future.

“They experienced a diverse range of scents with a core message of ‘there is no perfect scent, trust your nose’…this empowers people to honor their authentic preferences and intuition as sent becomes a tool for self-discovery and acceptance,” she remarked.

The event, which unfolded under the theme: ‘A forgotten past is deemed to repeat’ attracted notable attendees, including Dr Victoria Lihiru (Legal Scholar, UN Women Consultant, Gender Policy Expert), who named the candle she made ‘Legacy’, and Dr. Amina Baamary (PhD), who is a Lecturer at University of Dar es Salaam Business School.

Nawwi Wellness is Tanzania’s first brand to architect this type of transformational wellness experience and is now accepting bookings for Quarter 3 and Quarter 4 2026, which accommodate corporate wellness programs, private events, and institutional partnerships. They partner with premium venues like Urban by CityBlue and Wild Flour to deliver exceptional experiences.
