Tanzanian Embassy, Colors of Africa, TİKA facilitate a health medical camp in Zanzibar

TUMBATU: THE Tanzanian Embassy in Türkiye, in collaboration with the Turkish-based Colors of Africa Association and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), has facilitated a special oral and dental health medical camp in Tumbatu, Zanzibar.
The camp provided residents with access to a range of oral and dental health services, including medical examinations, professional consultations and specialised treatment. More than 500 people benefited from the services provided during the camp.
In addition to providing medical services, the Colors of Africa Association donated medical equipment to the Wazazi Clinic in Kichangani. The equipment is expected to contribute to improving the delivery of healthcare services and support the Government’s efforts to strengthen access to quality healthcare for the public.
The medical camp is part of the continued cooperation between Tanzania and Türkiye in the health sector, through initiatives aimed at expanding access to and improving the quality of healthcare services for Tanzanians.
On behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, the Embassy commended the Colors of Africa Association for implementing various impactful projects in Tanzania. The Embassy also recognised the organisation’s contribution to supporting Government efforts to improve social services, particularly in the health sector.
