Tanzanian beef sees market fortune in Oman

KIBAHA: TANZANIA beef heads for a new market in Oman as a delegation of businesspeople from Oman visited the Coast Region, to observe industrial and commercial activities, among them livestock products.

 The delegation’s tour also seeks to see investment opportunities between Tanzania and Oman in various sectors.

The delegation was led by Dr. Salem Al-Junaibi, Chairman of the Al Wusta Region Business and Industrial Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During their visit, they toured the Union Meat Factory located in Kibaha, where they witnessed meat production and discussed potential collaboration in the agriculture and livestock sectors, particularly in industrial products such as meat.

The business delegation also visited the KAMAKA Industrial Area to see infrastructure developments as well as government efforts to attract both domestic and foreign investors.

Today, September 8, 2025, the delegation is scheduled to visit the headquarters of the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) to sign a Cooperation Agreement between TCCIA Tanzania and Oman. Later, they participated in a Business and Investment Conference at Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam, involving participants from both public and private sectors.
