Tanzania to host ACCES Music Conference in Dar es Salaam

Tanzania is expected to host the fifth edition of the ACCES music conference slated for Nov. 24 to 26, this year.
The conference will include African music professionals and stakeholders to exchange ideas and showcase talent at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports, Dr Hassan Abbas said the three-day conference will also include music performances arranged for evenings at the BreakPoint Makumbusho.
Dr Abbas said, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has sponsored part of the meeting to allow Tanzanian artists explore each other and understand international markets.
Chief Executive of the Africa Conference For Collaborations, Exchange And Showcases (ACCES), Eddie Hatitye said this will be an opportunity for Tanzania artists to learn and grow more in the field.
“This is an opportunity for Tanzanian artists to meet with big African music stakeholders in African music, their fellow artists and music sellers like Sony, Boomplay and Universal,” he said
