Tanzania tasks its lawyers to lead the legal governance to attain the Vision 2050 goals

DAR ES SALAAM: Tanzania’s government lawyers have been urged to play a strategic role in advancing the implementation of Tanzania Development Vision 2050 by strengthening legal governance and ensuring effective provision of legal services to the government.
The call was made during an online training session for government lawyers from the Office of the Attorney General which focused on the theme, “The Strategic Role of Government Lawyers in Implementing Tanzania Development Vision 2050.”
The training was conducted by former Bank of Tanzania (BoT) Governor, Prof Florens Luoga, and aimed at enhancing lawyers’ understanding and capacity to contribute to the implementation of the national development vision.
The session also focused on strengthening the rule of law, good governance and the delivery of quality legal services to the government.
The training forms part of the Office of the Attorney General’s ongoing efforts to provide regular professional development programmes for its staff, with the aim of enhancing their expertise, knowledge and skills in carrying out their day-to-day responsibilities.
