ARUSHA: ANALYSTS and politicians have commended President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan for her dedication to national values, including peace and unity and her success in enhancing citizens’ prosperity through the effective implementation of the CCM Election Manifesto 2020-2025

The appreciation came during a special symposium in Arusha, organised by CCM’s Parents’ Wing to recognising President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s achievements over the past four years in office.

Presenting at the symposium, renowned academician and Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Professor Palamagamba Kabudi, praised President Samia for significantly strengthening the Union, which is celebrating its 61st year.

He noted that President Samia’s government had addressed 11 of the 14 existing contentious issues of the Union, with the remaining two nearing resolution.

Prof Kabudi said that unlike other unions in Africa, which were shortlived, Tanzania’s Union has endured and grown stronger.

“Tanzania stands as a beacon of union governments on the continent and beyond,” Prof Kabudi said. “This Union will continue to prevail because of CCM and its leadership, which is grounded in the principles of human equality and unity. Under President Samia, the Union has become stronger every day, and its benefits are clear.”

Prof Kabudi commended President Samia for her impressive strides in improving the country’s education infrastructure, including the addition of classrooms in schools across the nation. This initiative has significantly boosted academic performance and the development of education in Tanzania.

During the symposium, CCM Central Committee member, Ms Leilah Ngozi, also congratulated President Samia for promoting gender equity by appointing women to top government positions, including ministers, regional commissioners, and district commissioners, where they are excelling.

Ms Ngozi also praised the president for improving clean water supply and leading the transition to clean cooking, which has positively impacted the socioeconomic welfare of both women and men.

Furthermore, she noted the inclusion of youth in leadership positions, citing the example of Dr Doto Biteko, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy.

Earlier, CCM Deputy Secretary General (Mainland), Mr John Mongella, urged party members to continue showcasing the achievements of the sixthphase government ahead of the upcoming General Election.

He reminded them to advocate for peace and unity while promoting President Samia’s 4R philosophy— Reconciliation, Resilience, Reforms and Rebuilding — as a guiding framework.

CCM Parents’ Wing Chairperson, Mr Fadhili Maganya said that their wing will be at the forefront of all processes leading up to the next election.

“Just as we led other wings in registering new party members, we will also take the lead in mobilising voters,” Mr Maganya said.
