Tanzania–Russia Forum seeks more investments in agro-processing, mining, energy sectors

ARUSHA: THE President of the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) Angelina Ngalula has said that private sector-led partnerships and industrial collaboration are crucial in strengthening economic cooperation between Tanzania and Russia.

Speaking during the Tanzania–Russia Business and Investment Forum held at the Arusha International Conference Centre, Ms Ngalula said stronger business cooperation between the two countries would help drive innovation, expand trade and support sustainable economic growth.

“The government creates the enabling environment, but it is the private sector that transforms opportunities into investments, jobs, industries, innovation and long-term prosperity,” she said.

The TPSF President highlighted a range of investment opportunities available in Tanzania, including agriculture and agro-processing, mining and mineral beneficiation, oil and gas, logistics and transportation, tourism and hospitality, manufacturing and industrial development, ICT and digital transformation, renewable energy, healthcare and education.

Additionally, she encouraged businesses from Tanzania and Russia to pursue practical partnerships, joint ventures and long-term investment cooperation aimed at boosting industrial growth and trade ties between the two nations.
