Tanzania nominated for World Travel Awards

Tanzania has been nominated to compete for more than 30 world tourism awards organised by the World Travel Awards (WTA).

“It is with great pleasure that we announce the Tanzania nominees of the 30th annual World Travel Awards as Car, Hotels and Resorts, Safari and Travel Agencies and Operators,” the WTA stated on their website.

Each year World Travel Awards™ covers the globe with its Grand Tour – a series of regional gala ceremonies to recognise excellence within each continent, culminating with the winners going head-to-head in a Grand Final at the end of the year.

Apart from Tanzania some of other countries in the list of over 35 States are Kenya, Burundi, Malawi, Sudan and Ethiopia.

Speaking on the nomination opportunity, Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) Principal Public Relations Officer Robert Masunya said the voting window will be officially closed on the 30th of April and called on citizens to go through the WTA websites and vote for the country.

The Serengeti National Park has won the famous and prestigious award for four times consecutively since 2019 to 2022.

World Travel Awards™ was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
