Tanzania marks Metrology Day with emphasis on accurate measurements

DAR ES SALAAM: THE College of Business Education (CBE) has emphasized the critical role of accurate measurements in enhancing national productivity, stating that proper use of measurements can help prevent various harms in different sectors of society.

This was stated today, May 20, 2025, in Dar es Salaam by the Rector Academic, Research, and Consultancy, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, during a press briefing held to mark World Metrology Day. Prof. Lwoga noted that accurate measurements significantly contribute to key sectors such as agriculture, trade, industry, and the broader economy.

Meanwhile, Prof. Emmanuel Munishi, the Deputy Rector Finance, Planning, and Administration, announced that the college is finalizing the construction of a 12-storey building, which, once completed, will increase the student admission capacity by approximately 4,000, thus expanding access to education for more young people across the country.
