Tanzania joins Kenya in celebrating its National Day

NAIROBI: The United Republic of Tanzania has joined Kenya in celebrating the country’s Independence Day at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi today, December 12, 2025.

Tanzania was represented by the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Policy, Parliament, Coordination, and People with Disabilities, William Lukuvi, who represented President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The two countries have continued to cooperate in areas of diplomacy, economy, politics, security, culture, and social affairs, as well as at regional and international levels—particularly through the East African Community (EAC), the African Union (AU), and the United Nations (UN).

Tanzania and Kenya share a fraternal and historical relationship that has lasted for many years and continues to grow stronger each day.
