Tanzania joins 123 nations in Pope Francis’ funeral mass

VATICAN CITY: TANZANIA has joined 123 other nations in paying final respect to Pope Francis who passed away on  Monday this week.

Tanzania’s Vice President, Dr. Philip Mpango, who represents President Samia Suluhu Hassan,    has arrived at St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican to participate in the Funeral Mass of the former leader of the Catholic Church.

Dr. Mpango is accompanied at the ceremony by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo.

Vice President Dr. Mpango who represents the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, joins other 123 Presidents and Vice Presidents from various parts of the world to pay their final respects to Pope Francis.
